Minimum radius

The minimum radius is the tightest radius a vehicle or a layout can handle. Manufacturers state a minimum radius for their vehicles (often R1 ≈ 360 mm in H0); planning below it risks derailments and coupler binding. The Trackplanner warns when flex track is bent tighter than the minimum radius and highlights the tight spot in colour.
