Your XtrkCAD plan, shareable without an installation

Trackplanner reads the open .xtc format and re-lays your track with the geometry of real catalogue parts. The plan then runs in any browser — including for people who never installed XtrkCAD.

Import an XtrkCAD plan

.xtc XtrkCAD

  1. Pick the file

The .xtc file is read right in your browser and stays unchanged on your machine. If the plan has heights or levels and you don't have Premium, it goes to our server once for confirmation.

  2. Read the preview

You see the recognised systems and the number of placed parts. Whatever is not recognised is counted and shown, never silently dropped.

  3. Share the link

The plan gets a permanent address — to link in a forum or on your club’s page.

What comes across from XtrkCAD

  • Track and turnouts, matched to real catalogue articles.
  • The parts list with article numbers and lengths.
  • Freely laid track as flex track with its curvature, plus helixes and turntables.
  • Heights, gradients and levels, drawings and notes, structures and signals as accessories.

Who owns my plan after the import?

You do. You remain the author, your name stays with the plan (profile with attribution). All we get is the right to display it publicly — nothing more.

Why is my plan public?

In the free account plans are public — that is the deal, and we say it openly: you get permanent hosting and a link, the community gets your plan to look at. If you need private plans, choose Premium.

Does really everything come along?

The track: yes, with exact manufacturer geometry. Accessories and scenery: partly, depending on the format — the import preview tells you honestly how much was placed before you save.
